Born and based in Lima, Peru, Camila Abufom Saba is a third-generation descendant of Palestinian immigrants in South America. She’s both an actress and restaurateur. Her acting career began in theater and national television, evolving towards work with social and political commentary. Camila took a lead role in “Tregua,” a documentary play about the Palestinian-Israeli situation from a Latin American diaspora perspective. She’s actively involved in the BDS movement in Peru. And has ventured into radio, creating ‘VOCES DE LA DIASPORA PALESTINA EN PERU’. Though she dreams of visiting her ancestral land, she remains dedicated to fostering awareness of her identity through the arts, conversations, music, and cuisine.
