COMMUNITY NOTES

Below you will find information about entrance and accessibility to our venues, as well as our zero-tolerance policy regarding any form of discrimination.

With a focus on providing opportunities for Latin American and diaspora groups to share their artistic positions and practices, Radical Sounds Latin America is a community platform that works to engage our festival series every year with both physical and digital access. We do this by working with various Berlin venues and the larger music community.

The festival seeks to radically welcome everyone we work with and has zero tolerance for any kind of discrimination, harmful behaviors, or harassment. With the willingness to listen, learn, and nurture care and resilience amidst uncertainty, the festival consciously unsettles our notions of borders. It seeks to strengthen transnational communities through kinship, friendship, accessibility, and movements of collective imagination.
We are strongly committed to a strict zero-tolerance policy on any discrimination. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, harassment, bullying, discriminatory behavior, and acts of hate in any form have no place in our festival. We’ll be working with each of our venues to ensure the safety of our attendees, artists, and staff members. If you find yourself in a difficult situation or experience any unpleasant circumstances during a festival event, please contact our staff for support.
If you’d like to report an incident or provide feedback, please email us at talia@radicalsoundslatinamerica.com.

The 2023 festival series offers a variety of events. All of our online events are free of cost. Our workshop requires prior registration. Our physical events – live shows and performances – require the purchase of tickets. Tickets are sold at the door only.

Accessibility
Due to working with independent venues, access varies from venue to venue, however, we will try our best to provide as much detail on accessibility information as possible.
Festival and venue staff can be asked for help with regard to entrance access, mobility, elevator use, and toilet facilities. Please contact us directly or the venue in advance to allow aid for the event, for example, if you are a wheelchair user, we can arrange that there is enough room and easy access for you.
Please send an email to talia@radicalsoundslatinamerica.com if you have any questions or concerns.
