DJ BABATR is the initiator and representative of the underground electronic music movement “Raptor House”, which imploded in the periphery of Caracas, Venezuela in the late 90’s – representing the sound of the youth of neighbourhoods like Petare, Las Lomas, La Cota or Catia. DJ BABATR is the reflection of the Venezuelan sound that rethinks and reinterprets electronic music from its context and flavour, transgressing pre-established parameters that previously influenced the scene, taking as a starting point genres such as Hard Techno and Ghetto House. His sounds transcend the sonority of a social outburst that struggled daily against a stigma, resonating and resisting in dance, music and partying.
