Edna Martínez is a Colombian Caribbean DJ and Music curator at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin. Her musical selections are routed through African, Caribbean and Arabic worlds, mixing organic and electronic sounds linked by the concept of resistance. Her interest focuses on the community, on a dance floor that transcends borders through music and dance. She is the woman behind regular events in Berlin, such as “Latinarab” and “El Volcan” (the first and only picotera party in Germany). She also moderates a monthly show on NTS and collaborates often with RadioAlhara.
